<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the power generation efficiency of a thermal power generation system, miniaturize the equipment, and improve operability and maintainability. <P>SOLUTION: This thermal power generation system including a power generation steam turbine 4 (power generation turbine) rotatively operated by thermal energy and driving a generator 2 by the power generation steam turbine 4 includes: a steam turbine 18 rotated by thermal energy of exhaust gas (steam B) discharged from the power generation steam turbine 4; and a hydraulic pump 14 driven by the steam turbine 18.
