<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card collection box that surely collects IC cards while reducing the possibility of entering of foreign matter, and allowing a reliable shutter operation. <P>SOLUTION: The IC card collection box 31 has a card slot 31T in its top and has therebelow a card passage portion 31 and a card collecting tray 32 for collecting IC cards that have passed through the card passage portion 31. A shutter 312 that allows or stops an IC card from passing through the card passage portion is horizontally movably provided at the card passage portion 31. The shutter 312 has an opening 312h therein and is provided with a biasing means 313 for always biasing the opening 312h in an opening or closing direction and a pressing means 314 for forcibly pressing the biasing means 313 in the opposite direction and thus moving the shutter 312. The pressing means 314 comprises a solenoid 314H, a movable element 314P and a lever 314L.
