PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set opening and closing timings of an intake valve and an exhaust valve such that situations of flowing of intake and returning of exhaust gas can be optimally maintained. SOLUTION: Lift completion timings of an intake valve 13F and an exhaust valve 15F comprising a first valve set are set faster than lift completion timings of an intake valve 13R and an exhaust valve 15R of a second valve set, interference of intake and returning of exhaust are eliminated, and a large swirling flow is formed in an interior of a combustion chamber.
