PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structurally-simple and inexpensive seismic control device having a small number of components, for securing safety and habitability by exerting a great vibrational energy absorbing effect on seismic vibrations etc. SOLUTION: This seismic control device 1 includes: a spindle-shaped elastic body 5 wherein circular winding portions 2a and 3a, which are formed respectively at both the ends of first and second strip-shaped elastic plates 2 and 3 of a single-plate structure or a structure having a plurality of plates superposed on one another, are suitable for each other, for forming eyeball-shaped portions 4 to be attached to the structure at both ends, while being formed in a spindle shape with the central portions of the first and second strip-shaped elastic plates 2 and 3 bulging out respectively in an arc shape for functioning as a vibration amplification mechanism; and a vibration damper 7 for absorbing the vibrational energy, which is arranged in a space portion 6 formed between the first and second strip-shaped elastic plates 2 and 3, both the ends of which are suitable for the first and second strip-shaped elastic plates 2 and 3, respectively.
