PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film, having good thermal dimensional change and excellent printability in a print step of shallow drawing to medium drawing, easily stretching under low stress, having good moldability and producing an excellently low-shiny molded article. SOLUTION: The polyester film for the in-mold transfer foil has a thermal shrinkage rate of the polyester film treated at 180°C for 5 minutes of≤3.0% in the longitudinal direction and≤0.5% in the lateral direction of the film, the stress when the polyester film is stretched by 5% at 25°C of 90-120 MPa in the longitudinal direction of the film, the stress when the polyester film is stretched by 100% at 25°C of≤200 MPa in both of the longitudinal and lateral directions of the film, and an average surface roughness (Ra) of the film of 0.30-0.70μm.
