PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize supply quantity of lubricating oil according to operation conditions in a vacuum pump. SOLUTION: The supply quantity of the lubricating oil supplied into a pump chamber through an oil supply passage is regulated (step S10-S22) by controlling drive of an oil quantity control valve according to the engine operation conditions (engine speed, engine load, engine oil temperature and the like).
