The present invention discloses a redirection method and system, wherein said method includes: a gateway receives the first redirection request from source Home NodeB (HNB), wherein the ID of source HNB, the ID of terminal and the ID of target HNB are carried in the first redirection request; according to the parameter in the redirection request, the gateway judges whether the terminal is allowed to access the target HNB; if the judgment result is yes, the gateway sends the second redirection request to the target HNB in order to make the target HNB perform handoff. By employing the technical scheme of the present invention, the redirection processing procedure can be simplified and the load of core network can be reduced.
