<p>PURPOSE: A high-strength spring steel and a spring steel wire, which is used for a spring for vehicle and general machine, is provided to provide the suitable coiling feature after a spring step. CONSTITUTION: A high-strength spring steel comprises C: 0.4 ~ 0.8 mass%, Si: 0.9 ~ 3.0 mass%, Mn: 0.1 ~ 2.0 mass%, P <= 0.015 mass%, S <= 0.015 mass%, Cr <=1.5 mass%, and N: 0.001 ~0.007 mass%. The remnant Fe and the inevitable impurity are included. The presence density of the spherical shape carbide of the cementite system of 0.2 ~ 3μm to stalk per the original state is 0.5 ~2μm. The presence density of the spherical shape carbide exceeding 3μm to stalk per the original state of the cementite system is 0.005 ~ 2μm.</p> |
