<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve significant reduction in power consumption while allowing communication with a minimum network configuration. <P>SOLUTION: When a totalΣof traffic quantity of relay nodes 50 and 60 is less than a threshold TMD, an NMS70 recalculates topology for determining the minimum configuration, and issues a route switching instruction to subscriber accommodation nodes 10, 20, 30, and 40 not to send packets to the relay nodes 50 or 60 which is not required for the minimum configuration. Then, the NMS70 confirms that no packet flows to the relay node 50 nor 60 which is not required for the minimum configuration, and issues a power-off instruction to the relay node 50 or 60 not required. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
