PURPOSE: A washing apparatus is provided to expand the door diameter of a drum and a washing apparatus by making the vibration displacement of the drum larger in the vertical direction than the left/right direction. CONSTITUTION: A washing apparatus is composed of a tub, a drum, a driving unit, and a suspension unit. The drum is rotatably installed in the tub. The driving unit comprises a rotary shaft(351), a bearing housing(400), and a motor. The rotary shaft is connected to the drum. The bearing housing rotatably supports the rotary shaft. The motor is connected with the rotary shaft. The suspension unit is connected to the bearing house and supports the drum in a shock-absorbing manner. The suspension unit comprises a bracket. The bracket is extended along a radius direction.
