The method involves moving the drive by a speed guide regulated by a regulating device. A set value is filtered by a blocking filter, and the blocking filter is adjusted on the basis of natural frequency of the machine element. The set value is provided by an interpolator, and the blocking filter is used with a center frequency and a bandwidth.
