PURPOSE: An image sensor and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent the crosstalk between pixels by varying the depth of an image detection unit according to R, G, and B colors. CONSTITUTION: A readout circuit(120) is formed on a first substrate(100). An electrical combined area(140) is formed by electrically combining the first substrate and the readout circuit. A wiring(150) is formed on the electrical combined area. An image detection unit(210) is formed with red, green, and blue color detecting areas, depths of which are varying according to the color of detected image. The readout circuit comprises a transistor.
