PURPOSE: An optical connector which can be assembled in a field is provided to easily connect and separate optical fibers and to stably and securely connect core wires. CONSTITUTION: An optical connector which can be assembled in a field comprises a clamp, a core wire pressing member(20), a main housing(30), a cable fixture(40), and a boot(50). The clamp is composed of a clamp body(12) and an auxiliary clamp body(14). The core wire pressing member simultaneously presses the outer surface of the clamp and a core wire(7) located inside the clamp. The main housing covers the clamp and the core wire pressing member. The cable fixture has multiple pressing pieces(42). A through hole(51) is formed in the boot.
