PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of conveying recording materials restricting outbreaks of noise. SOLUTION: In the case of feeding a sheet P toward an image forming section 1 for transferring an image to the sheet P, when a recording material detecting sensor 23 detects intrusion of the sheet P into an adjustment position for skew correction, the sheet P is sucked and supported on a suction conveyor belt device 15, and resist skew detecting sensors 13 and 14 detect existence of skew. When a skew of the sheet P is detected, sucking force of the suction conveyor belt device 15 is weakened to correct the skew with a skew correcting means. Thereafter, the sheet P is moved to a predetermined position, and the sheet P moved to the predetermined position is sent to the image forming section 1 at a predetermined timing.
