PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner constituted to easily find the abnormal state of a drain pump or the like of the air conditioner. SOLUTION: The air conditioner has an indoor heat exchanger 2 performing heat exchange of air sucked by a blower; a drain pan 3 receiving drain water 8a flowing down from the indoor heat exchanger 2; a drain basin 4 storing drain water received by the drain pan 3; a drain pump 5 including a water suction part 5a installed at one corner part of the drain basin to pump up the drain water 8b, and a discharge part 5b discharging the drain water into a drain facility installed outside the air conditioner; an outflow hole 7 provided in a side face of the drain basin 4 and located at the installed height of the water suction part 5a; and a pipe section 11 into which the drain water 8b accumulated in the drain basin 4 flows through the outflow hole 7, one end of the pipe section 11 being connected to the outflow hole 7 and the other end of the pipe part 11 being located upward.
