PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly and precisely determine a malfunction of a working oil temperature sensor of a transmission promptly after the start of an internal-combustion engine. SOLUTION: At the start of an internal-combustion engine after an elapse of specified several hours from a disabled state of the internal combustion engine, an internal-combustion engine's radiator cooling water temperature TW2 detected by a cooling water temperature sensor and a transmission's working oil temperature TATF detected by the working oil temperature sensor are compared with each other. When a difference TATF-TW2 between the cooling water temperature TW2 and the working oil temperature TATF is not less than a first thresholdΔT1, since a malfunction determining means determines the working oil temperature sensor to be out of order, the malfunction of the working oil temperature sensor can be rapidly and precisely determined promptly after the start of the internal-combustion engine. When a block heater of the internal-combustion engine is actuated within the above given hours, the first thresholdΔT1 is replaced by a second thresholdΔT2 larger than the first thresholdΔT1 to determine a malfunction.
