<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder and an image forming device superior in operability of an end restriction member, and capable of preventing sheet feeding failure without pushing down the restriction member even in a high temperature and high humidity environment. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The sheet feeder for feeding a stacked sheet by a sheet feeding member includes a feeding tray 503 on which the stacked sheet is placed, a rear end restriction member 11 slidably movable with respect to the feeding tray 503 and restricting an end of the sheet stacked on the feeding tray, and an elastic holding means for holding the restriction member on the feeding tray by elastic force and restricting movement of the rear end restriction member 11 with respect to the feeding tray.
