<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a column hole cover easily installable on a steering shaft, and capable of restraining the intrusion of foreign matter and noise from between the steering shaft and itself. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This column hole cover 1 includes cylindrical vehicle body side seal boots 2 installed on the peripheral edge of the insertion hole 70 of a dash panel 7, and shaft side seal boots 3 installed on an outer peripheral surface of the steering shaft, being a cylindrical shape of rotating together with the steering shaft and having a bellows shape on the peripheral surface. A ring-shaped sliding contact member 5 for slidingly abutting on one end of the shaft side seal boots, is fixed to an inner peripheral surface of the vehicle body side seal boots. An inner diameter of the sliding contact member is smaller than an outer diameter of a sliding part 32 sliding to the sliding contact member of the shaft side seal boots before being installed in the vehicle body side seal boots.
