<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent adverse influence on an image by making peak-to-peak voltage of AC voltage larger while utilizing an increase in current flowing between a photoreceptor drum and an electrifying part even if gap length between the photoreceptor drum and a developing roller becomes long because of use. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: the photoreceptor drum 9; the electrifying part which electrifies the photoreceptor drum 9; a developing roller 81 which carries toner and to which an AC voltage applying part 86 is connected; a cleaning member which abuts on the photoreceptor drum 9; a measuring part 17 which measures the current between the electrifying part and the photoreceptor drum 9; a storage part 12 which stores voltage determining data for determining the peak-to-peak voltage of the AC voltage applied by the AC voltage applying part 86 in accordance with magnitude of the current; and a controller 10 which controls the AC voltage applying part 86. The controller 10 refers to the current and the voltage determining data, and controls the AC voltage applying part 86 to apply the voltage when printing so that the peak-to-peak voltage may be larger as an absolute value of the current becomes larger. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
