PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance printing accuracy in a printing apparatus, a printing method, a sheet-fed printer, and a rotary printing machine. SOLUTION: The printing apparatus includes: a rotatable impression cylinder 32; a blanket cylinder 31 rotatable synchronously with the impression cylinder 32 while contacting the impression cylinder and capable of conveying a printing sheet S while pinching it with the impression cylinder 32; an inkjet head 34 for forming images by spraying UV ink onto the surface of the blanket cylinder 31; a first UV lamp 35 for primarily drying the UV ink of the images formed on the surface of the blanket cylinder 31 by the inkjet head 34; and a second UV lamp 36 for secondarily drying the UV ink of the images transferred from the blanket cylinder 31 to the printing sheet S.
