PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device capable of preventing the generation of noise by making an outer peripheral surface of a rack guide directly contact with the inner peripheral surface of a guide hole, even if a steering gear is strongly vibrated through the vibrations of a vehicle body, without making an annular elastic member strongly and elastically contact with the inner peripheral surface of the guide hole. SOLUTION: When the steering gear is strongly vibrated through the vibrations of the vehicle body, a large radial load F1 or F2 is applied on a rack shaft 31 in a radial direction of the rack shaft 31 which is a direction orthogonal to a sliding direction of the rack guide. When the radial loads F1, F2 are applied, contacting sections 61A, 61B of an elastic member 60 are elastically deformed to support. Thus, the elastic member 60 prevents the rack shaft 31 from deforming in the radial direction of the rack shaft 31 which is the direction orthogonal to the sliding direction of the rack guide. Without making the outer peripheral surface of the rack guide directly contact with the inner peripheral surface of the guide hole, the generation of noise can be prevented.
