<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate power at a higher power generation efficiency than the existing case by highly maintaining a heating value and total quantity of heat of fuel to be supplied, in a gas turbine combined power generation facility generating power by burning by-product gas generated at ironworks. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this operating method for the gas turbine combined power generation facility generating power using the by-product gas generated at the ironworks as the fuel, when the by-product gas is surplus, that is, the generation amount of the by-product gas at the ironworks is greater than the usage thereof, at least part of the surplus by-product gas is converted into liquefiable fuel and liquefied in a reactor 13 and stored as liquid fuel in a storage vessel 15. When the usage of the by-product gas at the ironworks is greater than the generation amount thereof, the stored liquid fuel is vaporized by a vaporizer 18 so as to be gaseous fuel.
