<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint structure for a tube in which the tube with a barrier layer formed on its outer peripheral surface side is securely/firmly heat-welded to a joint, and the joint strength of the tube and the joint can be improved. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An end 12 of the tube 10 has a cut peripheral surface 13 where the barrier layer 11 on the outer peripheral surface side is cut by a predetermined axial length and thermoplastic material is exposed at the cut part. With the end 12 of the tube 10 fitted into a tube end 21 of the joint 20, the cut peripheral surface 13 in the end 12 of the tube 10 and an inner peripheral surface 22 in the tube end 21 of the joint 20 also made of the thermoplastic material are mutually heat-welded and joined together.
