<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, when an electronic apparatus is shut down due to shortage of battery residual capacity during data transfer to/from an external apparatus, which data have been transferred can not be determined, and thereby a user erroneously erases original data that have not been transferred when turning on power next time. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The electronic apparatus 100 includes: a communication control part 160 for transmitting/receiving data to/from an external apparatus; an information retaining part 130 for retaining, when transmission/reception of data by the communication control part 160 is not normally completed, abnormal completion information representing it; and a display part 150 for displaying a message based on the abnormal completion information when the abnormal completion information is retained in the information retaining part 130 in starting the own apparatus.
