<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parallel operation device improved in usage rate of computing unit. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The parallel operation device includes a plurality of operation execution elements which performs parallel processing, and a transmission path disposed each between the plurality of operation executing elements to transfer data to be transmitted and received between the plurality of operation executing elements. At least one of the plurality of operation executing element preferably includes a signal processing circuit, and a connection switch provided between the signal processing circuit and the transmission path and having a signal input end and a signal output end. The connection switch receives a signal of a specified bit number from one of the signal processing circuit and the transmission path through the signal input end, generates another signal of a different bit number corresponding to the signal of the specified bit number, and supplies it to the other of the signal processing circuit and the transmission path from the signal output end.
