<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the stability of an image capturing apparatus. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The image capturing apparatus includes a lens, an image sensor arranged behind the lens, and a lens cover unit 2 arranged in front of the lens. The lens cover unit 2 includes a frame arranged out of the lens, and first and second lens covers 4a and 4b as an example of a blade body disposed so as to freely appear/disappear in the frame. The first and second lens covers 4a and 4b have an operation body 13 for performing appearing operation, the operation body 13 includes an appearance switching protrusion 33, a rotor 24 is butted on the appearance switching protrusion 33, and a part of a coil spring 25 used as a biasing member is inserted into a rotation shaft of the rotor 24.
