摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation control device for a multiple cylinder internal combustion engine, ensuring a longer cylinder cut-off operation execution period while suppressing vibration of a vehicle due to shifting to a cylinder cut-off operation with respect to the multi-cylinder internal combustion engine performing the cylinder cut-off operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a no-load operation or a light load operation, switchover from the whole cylinder operation to the cylinder cut-off operation is prohibited when a clutch mechanism is in an engaged state or a manual transmission is in a nonneutral state, and switchover from the whole cylinder operation to the cylinder cut-off operation is allowed when the clutch mechanism is in a relesed state or the manual transmission is in a neutral state. As to determination of whether or not the clutch mechanism is in the released state, it is determined that the clutch mechanism is in the released state if the rotation fluctuation range of the engine exceeds a predetermined threshold.
