CELLULOSE COMPOSITION, AND GEL COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE CELLULOSE COMPOSITION

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose composition which can be compounded in a gel composition, can suppress the lowering of viscosity of the gel composition even when an ionic compound coexists and further can suppress phase separation of the gel composition. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The cellulose composition contains a cellulose derivative and cellulose particulates having average grain size of ≤5 μm, average polymerization degree (DP) of ≤100 and crystallinity percentage of ≤50%.
