PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which has a sufficiently low residual potential and is less affected by exposure to external light. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer on a conductive support member. The photosensitive layer contains a compound A1 having an acyclic unsaturated group and an aldehyde body B1 of the compound A1, wherein a content ratio of the aldehyde body B1 to the compound A1 is represented by formula (α) 0<(mass of the aldehyde body B1)/(mass of the compound A1)<0.01.
