The filter has longitudinal walls (3, 4) and a longitudinally-aligned flow roller arranged in a direction of flow current. The flow roller is produced by a flow unit, and an agitator (7) is utilized as the flow unit and arranged at one of the longitudinal walls in a lower area of a reservoir (1) in proximity to an inlet side. Additional agitators are arranged at the longitudinal walls in the lower area of the reservoir. The longitudinal wall in a reservoir area of the agitators below a water level deflection unit (11) is inclined at an angle of 45 degree in relation to an incident flow (15).
