PURPOSE: A display device including a photo-detector is provided to more accurately measure an external light to control luminance of an image. CONSTITUTION: A display panel displays the video. A photo detector(600) comprises temperature dependent sub sensors(602_1~602_3) which is selectively enabled according to an external temperature. According to a detecting result of a light detector, a luminance control unit controls a luminance of an image displayed on the display panel. The light detector additionally comprises a temperature independent sub sensor(601) which can be enabled irrelevant to the external temperature. A temperature dependent sub detector and a temperature independent sub detector which detect an external light each comprises photo diode.
