PRE-BOOT RECOVERY OF A LOCKED COMPUTER SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A free boot recovering method of a locked computer system and a device thereof are provided to recover free boot of the locked computer system. CONSTITUTION: A BIOS(Basic Input/Output System) of a computer system determines whether a removable storage device is attached to the computer system during pre-boot(302). The BIOS transfers control to a PBA(Pre-Boot Authentication) module stored in the removable storage device to interact with an ME(Manageability Engine) to restore the computer system to an unlocked state from a locked state(304) when searching the removable storage device.
