<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an occurrence of stripping between a sheath and a water stop part at a terminal water stop part of a shielded wire and to suppress a swell of the water stop part. <P>SOLUTION: The method of stopping water at the terminal includes the steps of exposing a core wire 12 and a drain wire 11 by peeling the sheath 14 at the terminal of the shielded wire 10, wrapping a tarp made of a foam rubber sheet soaked with molten water stop agent tightly around a periphery of the shielded wire 10 and the exposed wires across a peeling point P of the sheath, then half-wrapping an adhesive tape 23 around a peripheral surface of the foam rubber sheet or covering it with a heat shrinkage tube to be heat-shrank, holding it still in a horizontal direction in this state, filling the water stop agent contained in the foam rubber sheet into a gap among the exposed wires by a wrapping force of the adhesive tape as well as flowing the agent into a gap between the sheath inner surface and the wires of the shielded wire 10, oozing the water stop agent to the peripheral surface of the sheath, curing the water stop agent in this state, and continuously fixing the water stop agent from the peripheral surface of the wires drawn out of the sheath terminal to the peripheral surface of the sheath. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
