摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time for starting a brushless motor, in a driving device that carries out initial setting before induced driving when the brushless motor is started. <P>SOLUTION: The driving device sequentially switches phase coils 14A to 14C of a brushless motor 11 to rotate a magnet rotor 15, detects the position of the magnet rotor 15 based on induced voltage produced in the phase coils 14A to 14C, and controls energization of the phase coils 14A to 14C based on the detected position, in induced driving. Before the induced driving, the driving device carries out initial setting and controls energization of the phase coils 14A to 14C to set the magnet rotor 15 in the initial position. The driving device includes a boost circuit 16 for boosting the voltage to be supplied to the phase coils 14A to 14C. Electricity is stored in the boost circuit 16 during initial setting. After the completion of initial setting, the stored electricity is discharged from the boost circuit 16 for induced driving to boost the voltage to be supplied to the phase coils 14A to 14C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
