<p>Measuring device comprises an interferometer (20) having a beam switching input (18) and a signal processing unit (17) having a beam switching output and connected to the interferometer. The signal processing unit controls the interferometer so that a light beam is produced from a measuring beam output (12) with a prescribed light intensity only during measurement of measuring signals. An independent claim is also included for a method for optically measuring the movement of an object using the above device. Preferred Features: The interferometer has a dimmer unit arranged in the path of the measuring beam and connected to the beam switching input.</p> |
