PURPOSE: A device and a method for scheduling in a broadband wireless communication system are provided to perform uplink scheduling of the MS based on uplink data packet information of MS(Mobile Station), transmission power information, and uplink CINR(Carrier to Interference and Noise Ratio), thereby improving transmission rate of uplink data packet and using efficiency of limited resource. CONSTITUTION: A packet scheduler(210) schedules to assign one burst type of uplink data packet corresponding ot broadband request of a terminal. A calculator determines transmission power offset corresponding to assigned burst type. A generator(230) generates map information including uplink burst allocation information and transmission power offset information. The type of burst are CSM(Collaborative Spatial Multiplexing) burst and non-CSM burst.
