PURPOSE: A control method of a washing machine is provided to improve cleaning performance by spraying heated washing water to foreign materials on the outer rear side of a drum and on the inner rear side of a tub in order to remove the foreign materials. CONSTITUTION: A control method of a washing machine comprises the following steps. A drum is rotated(S14). Washing water is supplied(S151). Detergent is supplied to the washing water(S153). The washing water provided during a drum rotation step is sprayed to the outer rear side of a drum and the inner rear side of a tub(S155). The drum rotates at a speed in which the washing water saved in the tub is able to reach to the upper inner circumference of the tub during the drum rotation step. The drum alternately rotates to the forward direction and the reverse rotation.
