<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fruit-containing hard candy, in which the stickiness inherent in the dry fruit is suppressed and the fruit's storability is improved, while making it more tasty; and to provide a method for producing the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fruit-containing hard candy includes: a fruit-processed part containing 40 wt.% or more of a dry fruit, 1-15 wt.% of oil-and-fat, 5-15 wt.% of moisture, 0.1-10 wt.% of a gelatinizer and 0.1-5.0 wt.% of a surfactant; and a hard candy part with less than 5 wt.% in moisture content; wherein the surface area ratio of the fruit-processed part to the hard candy part is (1:20) to (5:1). The method for producing the fruit-containing hard candy includes the step of mincing the dry fruit followed by adding the minced dry fruit with the oil-and-fat and the swelled gelatinizer and then the surfactant to prepare the fruit-processed product; and the step of extruding the fruit-processed product in ribbons and then combining the ribbons with the hard candy part; or the step of extruding the fruit-processed product and the hard candy part in ribbons simultaneously.
