PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair dye which can dye hair more light-colored and soft to touch and to provide a product reduced in volume in that the dose of a first pack is markedly smaller than usual and it is generally marketed in the form of a combination of a first pack and a second pack as a one-time dose. SOLUTION: This invention provides a two-pack oxidative hair dye which is one comprising a first pack containing a hair dye-containing component and a second pack containing an oxidizing agent, wherein the viscosity of the second pack is 1,000-10,000 mPa s and the hair dye is used by mixing 1 pt.wt. first pack with 5-20 pts.wt. second pack.
