<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating device with a steam generating function, crisply baking a surface of a heating object by a heater, and preventing the surface of the object from being excessively burned brown by steam. Ž<P>SOLUTION: As a heating object 12 in a heating chamber 11 is heated by infrared ray transmitting the steam, a concentration of steam of a region kept into contact with the object 12 is lowered by radiation from the surface of the object 12, and the surface of the object 12 is crisply baked. As the steam is circulated and successively supplied, the concentration of steam at the region kept into contact with the object 12 does not become zero, and the surface of the object 12 can be prevented from being excessively burned brown. As a proper humidity is applied to the surface, the surface of the object 12 is surrounded by the steam, and the water content inside of the object 12 hardly escapes.
