<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for determining writing into an optical disk for attaining the normal recording of data within a standard. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The system comprises one of: a means 104 for detecting an abnormality that the optical disk has a defect thereon; a means 107 for detecting an abnormality that the address number of a physical address cannot successively be read; a means 107 for detecting an abnormality that the phase difference between the physical address and a logical address exceeds a threshold range; a means 107 for detecting an abnormality that the phase difference between a physical address caused by wobbling and a physical address written into the optical disk exceeds a threshold range; a means 104 for detecting an abnormality that a focusing error exceeds a threshold range; a means 104 for detecting an abnormality that a tracking error exceeds the threshold range; and a means 104 for detecting an abnormality of the rotation of the optical disk.
