<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of suppressing the decline of dust suction force due to clogging of a filter. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An air passage forming member 24 with a dust collecting chamber 26 is rotatably provided around a central axis C of a path for guiding an air flow distributed through a suction nozzle body and sucked by an electric blower 4 inside a cleaner body 2. A driving means 41 for rotating the air passage forming member 24 during cleaning is provided. The filter 31 to be rotated together with the air passage forming member 24 is attached to the dust collecting chamber 26. A fixed ventilation position regulating member 11 provided with a ventilation part 12 eccentric from the axis C is provided so as to close the dust collecting chamber 26 facing the filter 31 from the downstream side. Thus, the relative position of the filter 31 to the ventilation part 12 of the ventilation position regulating member 11 is changed by the rotation of the filter 31 during cleaning and a clogging of concentrated part of the filter 31 is suppressed.
