<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hedge trimmer which facilitates collecting of pruned branches and leaves. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The hedge trimmer 1 includes catch parts 7, 8 for attaching a collection bag 9 thereto. The catch parts 7, 8 catching the collection bag 9 are respectively set to the chip receiver 2 and the hand guard 3 of the hedge trimmer 1 so that the collection bag 9 can be attached so as to be opened along the length direction of the cutting blade 6 of the hedge trimmer 1. One holding part 9a of the collection bag 9 is caught on the hand guard 3, whereby the weight of the collection bag 9 in which the branches and the leaves are collected can be received at the vicinity of the hand with which the hedge trimmer 1 is gripped, so that the heavy sensation given to the hand is reduced. In addition, a detachable wavy attachment bar 10 is set to the chip receiver 2, whereby the position of the holding part 9a of the collection bag 9 can be flexibly selected, so that the area of the opening of the collection bag 9 can be adjusted.
