The device (1) has a transmission element (2) e.g. worm wheel, in torque-transmitting engagement with another transmission element (4) e.g. driver wheel, over an axial extension (11). A damping element (6) is arranged between the transmission elements. The damping element is accommodated in a retaining bag (12), where damping sections (7, 8) of the damping element are subjected with pressure by the extension for torque transmission. Bag wall sections limit the bag. The bag wall sections are separated by a distance in a circumferential direction and are cut from radials.
