PURPOSE: An internal voltage generating circuit and method of operation the same are provided to generate an internal power voltage by using clock information. CONSTITUTION: A clock comparison unit(210) compares a first clock signal with a second clock signal. The first clock signal has clock information corresponding to the level of the reference voltage. A second clock signal has the clock information corresponding to an internal power level. A control signal generating unit(230) generates a driving control voltage. The driving control voltage has a level corresponding to the output signal of the clock comparison unit. The driving unit(250) drives an internal power voltage in response to the driving control voltage.
