<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic image viewing device capable of comfortably displaying horizontally long images and vertically long images. <P>SOLUTION: A common image such as a clock is always displayed in a space which is not covered by any of a horizontally long image and a vertically long image. A position of a corner of an image arranged on the opposite side of the common image on an diagonal line is made to coincide. When switching a horizontally long image to a vertically long image, a feeling of wrongness is eased by adding an animation effect. The display of an image comment for the vertically long image is divided to match the display with a space. Either one of the horizontally long image and the vertically long image is displayed on the center of a display screen such as square or a circle rotated at 45°, which has vertical/horizontal isotropy. Normally, a square display screen rotated at 45° by inclining an usual display device by 45° is created. A delay in a rewriting speed is managed by rewriting images during sleeping at night by using electronic paper. A rewriting speed of monochromatic images is matched with that of color images to ease a feeling of wrongness when monochromatic images and color images are included together. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
