<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering device capable of properly controlling additional friction torque according to the length of an operation time or a turning time. <P>SOLUTION: The power steering device performs control for applying the additional friction torque by setting the additional friction torque applied to steering based on an actual steering angle and a target steering angle. An additional friction torque changing means changes the additional friction torque based on the length of the operation time or the turning time of a vehicle. Thus, when the operation time is long or the turning time is long, the additional friction torque of taking into consideration the fatigue of an arm can be properly applied to the steering.
