PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus, capable of efficiently expressing a scene having no three-dimensional consistency and performing easy and flexible simulation on that basis. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus includes a simulation data generation part which calculates a depth directional position of an object existing in one pixel of a scene image as relative Z value for each pixel, calculates a difference between the depth directional position of the object existing in one pixel and the depth directional position of the object existing in a plurality of pixels adjacent to the one pixel as offset Z value for each pixel, and generates simulation data in which the relative Z values and offset Z values are included in the scene image; a simulation result arithmetic part which computes a simulation result in the scene image by recognizing the shape and positional relation of the object based on the relative Z values and offset Z values; and a simulation image generation part which generates an image in which the simulation result is expressed in the scene image.
