PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bidirectional converter which can be reduced in size and in weight, as compared with conventional types. SOLUTION: In a starting period of an AC-DC conversion part 2, power is fed to a control part 4 by only one drive power supply at an input side out of two drive power supplies 51, 52. Furthermore, power consumption of the control part 4 is set to be lower, as compared with a normal operation period. Meanwhile, during normal operation period of the AC-DC conversion part 2, power is fed to the control part 4 by composite power (combined power) generated by both the drive power supplies 51, 52. Accordingly, a smaller capacity suffices for an individual power feed capacity of each drive power supply 51, 52, as compared with the conventional one. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
