<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct an expected value to be used for authenticating a main control board by an easy method, and to prevent fraudulent control from the main control board to a peripheral board and the diversion of the expected value and information relating to authentication. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The electronic device includes the main control board 310 and the peripheral board 330 for performing prescribed processing on the basis of a control command transmitted by the main control board 310, wherein the main control board 310 adds correction data of the expected value to be used for collating data transmitted from the main control board 310 when a control command to be transmitted to the peripheral board 330 is a command for executing processing for the time of power supply, and adds authentication data for authenticating the main control board 310 or dummy data of the authentication data when it is a prescribed command. The peripheral board 330 authenticates the main control board 310 as it is when receiving the dummy data, and authenticates the main control board 310 using a corrected expected value when receiving the authentication data.
